Book Borrowing Policy

Borrowing Policy for Media Center Materials

• Kindergarten and 1st-grade students may borrow 1 item per week.

• 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students may borrow 2 items per week. (Exceptions are made for research projects)

1. Books are borrowed for one week at a time. Students can renew a book if it has not been completed, by seeing me in the Media Center. Please teach your child to keep their book in a safe place and remind them to pack the book in their backpack on the Media Center day.

2. There are NO fines for late books. However, students may NOT check out another book until they have returned the one previously checked out.

3. There will be a fee for books not returned by the end of the school year.  Gently-used donations are an acceptable replacement for a lost or damaged book.
